According to the Highway Patrol report, a 17-year-old Joplin boy driving a 2018 Ford Escape swerved to avoid an animal in the road, lost control and overturned several times, striking a pole and the ditch.
The driver and three passengers, a 16-year-old girl, a 16-year-old boy and an 18-year-old boy, all from Joplin, were treated for minor injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
