Gunman surrenders to Miami Police

On 4-21-23 Miami Police received a call to poor man auto emporium where two people that reside in the building were confronted by an intruder with a gun. 

The residents fled the building and reported the intruder barricaded himself inside the building. 

During a search of the area the suspect was not found and he later called the police department and gave himself up.from another location. 

Traffic on Steve Owens Blvd was temporarily diverted during the situation. Miami PD wants to thank all of our partner agencies for their assistance.
