The General Session for the Jasper County Commission was called to order at 9:00 a.m. on April 11, 2023, in room 101 of the Jasper County Courthouse by Presiding Commissioner John Bartosh. The meeting was opened with a prayer by Jasper County Sheriff Randee Kaiser followed by the pledge of allegiance.
Roll Call: Presiding Commissioner John Bartosh, Commissioner Darieus K. Adams, and Commissioner Tom Flanigan were present.
Approval of Minutes: Commissioner Adams made a motion to approve the minutes from the April 4, 2023, General Session. Commissioner Flanigan seconded the motion. By unanimous vote, the minutes were approved.

Reports and Communication: None
Elected Officials/Citizen Request: County Clerk, Charlie Davis, presented to the Commission the annual report on polling locations for elections. The only change is moving Joplin 4 precinct from MSSU Criminal Justice Building to the MSSU FEMA Building. Commissioner Adams made a motion to accept the report. Commissioner Flanigan seconded the motion. By unanimous vote, the motion passes.
Jasper County Records Center Director Annie Golden presented to the commission information regarding the denial of insurance paying a prescription, prescribed by a doctor, by BMI and requested the Commission approve the medication. Commissioner Adams noted that the county would discuss this with BMI.

New Business: Commissioner Adams made a motion to award the Carthage County Courthouse lawn care to Pinewood Nursery in the amount of $79,793.35. Commissioner Flanigan seconded the motion. By unanimous vote, the motion passes.
