(From the City of Joplin)Due to the extremely high winds over the weekend, many residents have down limbs and branches to dispose of. To help with this, the City’s Public Works will open the Free Tree Limb Drop Off Site this week, starting Wednesday, April 5.
It will be open from 8:30 a.m. -2 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, April 8. And then it opens again for its monthly operational dates of Friday, April 14 and Saturday, April 15.
The drop-off site is located at 1702 North Schifferdecker Avenue, just about a half-mile north of Belle Center Road on the west side of Schifferdecker.
Another option for residents is to bundle limbs and branches cut to 4 foot maximum length and place them at curbside for pick up on their regularly scheduled trash service day.
