A Carthage man was injured in a three-vehicle accident 5:25 p.m. Wednesday on MO 171 one mile west of Carthage.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2009 Toyota Corolla driven by Brian W. Misner, 44, Carthage, failed to slow for traffic and struck a 2009 Toyota 4Runner driven by Susan M. Vaughn, 61, Carthage, in the rear.
The Vaughn vehicle spun and hit a 2012 Honda Civic driven by Sheila M. Pepin, 44, Nevada.
Misner was treated for moderate injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
