On Tuesday, June 5th, 2018, it was reported that a subject was going door to door representing AT&T.
A Jasper officer found the subject and made contact with him along with another person. They were in a black Chevy truck with Texas plates.
Please be on the lookout for the subjects who when contacted, were not too cooperative and also they were upset about being contacted by law enforcement. They presented the document posted.
It is city ordinance that any door to door salesman for any company is required to have a business license obtained through city hall. It must be approved by the city council at the city council meeting every 3rd Wednesday of the month @ 7 pm.
If a door to door salesman comes to your door, please ask them to show you their Jasper city business license. If they can’t do that, tell them to leave and report the activity to police.
