(From the Jasper Police Department)

Sexual Misconduct Arrest

On June 4th, 2018, Brandon Long was arrested by Jasper County Sheriff’s Office for sexual misconduct at an address on South 3rd in Jasper.

It was reported that Long was completely nude and sitting out front sitting in a chair waving at vehicles as they passed by. It was also reported that kids were outside in the neighborhood when the incident occurred.

Long who was on an ankle monitoring system during the time of the incident, already had an active case in court for Statuatory Sodomy 1st and 2nd Degree that was filed in January by the prosecutor’s office.

As soon as members of the Jasper Police Department was notified if the incident on 06/04/2018, we were on the phone and trying to get Long’s original bond revoked and make sure he does not return to the city of Jasper.

Not only was a new bond set at $5000 with 10% cash required for the sexual misconduct, but his previous bond was revoked and now set at $50,000 cash only. Great job by Jasper County Deputy Holley and assistant prosecutor Kim Fisher, assistant prosecutor Nate Dally, prosecutor Theresa Kinney and also Jasper County judges Joseph Hensley and David Mouton. Thank you all for helping in keeping our community safe.
