An upcoming “Newsmakers” interview program on KGCS-TV highlights the success of the Joplin High School Constitution Team.
Students won state competition this year and are preparing to go to Washington, D.C., for national competition. Guests include William Keczkemethy, teacher and team coach, with students Drew Cox and Christine Miranda. They discuss the academic competition and teamwork required for success.
The program will air beginning April 13 on KGCS-TV. Airdates include:

In addition, KGCS will provide live coverage of the Joplin City Council meeting to be held at 6 p.m. Monday. The meeting will feature the swearing in of new members and the election of the mayor by the council.
KGCS programming may be seen over the air on digital channel 22 and on regional cable television systems including Cable One, Mediacom and Suddenlink. The station operates as a service of the Department of Communication at Missouri Southern State University.
