A motorcyclist was charged with driving while intoxicated, following an accident 7:50 p.m. Sunday on Schifferdecker Road, a tenth of a mile north of Joplin.
According to the Highway Patrol, a 1998 Honda Motorcycle driven by Jeffrey L. Clark, 31, Tulsa, Oklahoma, traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned.
Clark was taken to Freeman West Hospital with serious injuries.
