Missouri Southern students receive survival training

(From Southern News Service)

Students in the University Experience 100 classes underwent ALICE Training sessions today at Missouri Southern State University.
The University Police Department uses the A.L.I.C.E. (Alert/Lockdown/Inform/Counter/Evacuate) training to teach students how to survive if they were to be confronted by a violent person with a weapon in a group setting. The hour-long sessions are being led by Police Chief Ken Kennedy.
Sessions were held every hour on the hour until 3 p.m. in Phelps Theater, located on the first floor of Billingsly Student Center.
