Woman charged with DWI, vehicular assault, child endangerment

(The following is an update on an earlier post.)

A Noel woman has been charged with driving while intoxicated, two counts of vehicular assault, and endangering the welfare of a child following a one-car accident 4:27 p.m. Saturday on MO 59, one-tenth of a mile north of Noel.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Darlynn Jose 25, Noel, traveled off the roadway and collided with a rock outcropping.

Two passengers, Saimonson B. Saimon, 25, Noel, and Kiona M. Saimon, 11, Anderson, were airlifted to Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, where the elder Saimon was treated for serious injuries and the younger one for minor injuries.
