East Newton R-6 Board approves cutting ties with Bright Futures

A recap of the September, 2015 regular meetings is as follows:

The Board approved the Consent Agenda, including the previous month board minutes and monthly bills,. HS and Triway Weeding log, let bids for RFQ for
Guaranteed Energy Performance Contract
Program Evaluations: PDC Program and Testing and Evaluation Program

Reports:

MAP Data was presented for the 2015 spring assessments, Financial Report, Enrollment & Attendance for the end of August. Enrollment was 1,366 K-12. This is down from a year ago by sixty-seven students.

Under Old Business, 2nd reading and approval of MSBA policy updates. Also, Tuition for 2015-2016 was adjusted. Tuition was changed to $6.500. Substitute teacher list.

In respect to New Business, the Board approved the MSBA membership and maintenance agreement. The Board tabled the Model Compliance approval until a Tuesday morning meeting to give members time to review the plan. The Board had discussions regarding the local water district options for the high school campus.

 Last on the agenda was approval of the local Bright Futures organizations disaffiliation from Bright Futures USA, and the new organization East Newton United’s moved toward becoming an independent organization.


The next regular meeting is scheduled for October 15 at 7:00 p.m. at Central Office.
