Driver backs into two-year-old Carthage boy, leaves the scene

A driver backed into a two-year-old boy and drove away 4:52 p.m. Sunday at 2145 E. Fairview Street, Carthage.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a Grey Honda Odyssey, being driven by a Neosho driver who is not named on the report, began backing and hit Jessy Teo, 2, Carthage.

The vehicle pulled forward and drove away, the report says.

The girl was treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
