Joplin News First scoop: Thefts plague Main Street construction area

The Joplin Police Department need your help in identifying the pictured male suspect seen on surveillance cameras in the early morning of August 12 in the construction area of S Main.

Joplin News First has been researching a story on the Main Street construction and its impact on businesses from 15th - 20th. In doing so it has come to our attention that there have been instances of theft along the corridor. Construction equipment, supplies and even burglaries at businesses.

The early morning of Saturday, August 12, this man was observed on multiple cameras. He arrived to the area on the bicycle pictured below.

Joplin Police Department responded to the call. Police combed the area but the man could not be located for questioning.
