Joplin Police capture thief who stole two shoes, both for left foot, both wrong size

Yesterday two of our officers observed a male running southbound in the area of 7th and Geneva carrying a pair of black shoes. 

While the officer in training was attempting to navigate traffic to get to him, a call was received from Shoe Carnival to report theft of shoes. 

The suspect was described by staff, which matched the description of the male observed running. The male was located behind Mason's Closet and arrested for the theft. The suspect wears size 10 shoes. He had stolen one size 11 shoe and one size 12 shoe, both for left feet. 

Our officers may have saved the suspect from some serious blisters or discomfort to the feet.
