A Carthage man was charged with driving while intoxicated following a one-vehicle accident 9:30 p.m. Wednesday on Route BB, five miles east of Carthage.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1999 Ford Expendition driven by Gavin McDaniel, 21, Carthage, ran off the right side of the road and overturned.
McDaniel was treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
