Exeter man dies from injuries sustained in accident near Stella

An Exeter man who was airlifted to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin following a two-vehicle accident 2:30 p.m. Saturday on MO 76, four miles southeast of Stella died from his injuries.

The updated Highway Patrol indicates Randall E. Hensley, 60, Exeter, was pronounced dead at 5:30 p.m. by Dr. Offutt at Freeman.

The report indicates a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Hensley turned into the path of a 1999 Honda Passport driven by Shayla R. Lantz, 21, Goodman, and was struck.

A passenger in the Hensley vehicle, Robin J. Hensley, 60, Exeter, was treated for moderate injuries at Freeman West.

The fatality was the 81st during 2018 for Highway Patrol Troop D.
