Newsmakers program focuses on Missouri Southern

(From Southern News Service)

The Newsmakers interviews airing on KGCS-TV the next two weeks will focus on Missouri Southern, as a new academic year gets underway.

“We felt that people returning to campus and those in the community would be interested in what’s happening at Missouri Southern,” said Judy Stiles, Newsmakers host and KGCS General Manager.

The first program, airing the week of August 12, takes a look at Missouri Southern Athletics. MSSU Director of Athletics Jared Bruggeman will provide information about the new video board at Fred G. Hughes Stadium and discuss the upcoming seasons for fall sports.

The program airing the week of August 19 will focus on the Nordic Semester at Missouri Southern. The Director of the Institute of International Studies, Dr. Chad Stebbins, will talk about the plans for the semester, which include a variety of lectures and other special presentations.

The Newsmakers programs air weeknights on KGCS and at 5:30 a.m. Saturday mornings on KOAM-TV. They are also posted on the station YouTube site, “KGCS Missouri Southern.”
