Joplin man sought in connection with abuse of four-year-old taken into custody

Adam Duncan was taken into custody at the Joplin Police Department at 1145 a.m. today. Thank you for the assistance. Charges are being submitted to the Jasper County Prosecutor’s office today.

Thursday night, December 6, 2018 at 10:19 pm the Joplin Police Department responded to a local hospital and began a child abuse investigation involving a four-year-old child.

Detectives arrested an adult female in the case and charges have been submitted to the prosecutor’s office.

Detectives and officers have been working since last night to locate and arrest a second suspect in the case. We are now asking the public’s help in locating Adam J. Duncan, 28, Joplin.
