Weather hazards expected... Limited excessive cold risk. Elevated snow risk. DISCUSSION... A storm system will bring snow to the region late tonight and early Sunday morning. Precipitation will begin as rain late this afternoon and transition to snow during the evening. Snow totals through early Sunday morning are expected to range from around one half inch over south central Missouri to around 3 inches across southeast Kansas and west central Missouri.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday. Additional snowfall is expected from Sunday morning through late Sunday afternoon, with an additional one to three inches of snow possible. Storm total accumulations are expected to average from around three inches along the Arkansas border to nearly six inches over southeast Kansas and central Missouri. Very cold temperatures are expected from Sunday night into early next week. Overnight low temperatures will drop into the single digits to around zero with wind chills ranging from minus five to minus fifteen degrees at times on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights.
