Seneca Police make numerous drug, traffic arrests during March

On 3/22/19, Detective Debra Charles was informed about a male prowling on private property. The male was located and through an investigation it was determined that, Shawn Candelaria had a warrant out of Wheaton for failure to appear and was transported to Newton County Jail.

On 3/19/19, Officer Fort initiated a traffic stop for an equipment violation. The driver was arrested for DWR and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 3/17/19, Officer Housley initated a traffic stop for a moving violation. As Officer Housley approached the vehicle, he could smell the odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle. The driver was arrested for Possession of narcotics and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On 3/16/19, Officer Housley initiated a traffic stop for a moving violation. The driver, Jessica Gipson was arrested for DWS and for a Newton County Warrant for: Operating a Motor Vehicle without a license. Gipson was transported to Newton County Jail.








On 3/15/19, Officer Housley initiated a traffic stop for a moving violation. The vehicle had four occupants. The driver was arrested for DWR and transported to Newton County Jail. A male occupant in the back seat was given a ticket for Possession of Marijuana. All other passengers were released at the scene.

On 3/14/19, Officer Housley initiated a traffic stop for an equipment violation. The Driver was arrested for DWR and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 3/14/19, Officer Housley initiated a traffic stop for an equipment violation. The Driver, Joshua Hulsey, was arrested on a warrant out of Joplin for Possession of Marijuana.

On 3/13/19, Officer Thiel initiated a traffic stop on a moving violation. The driver was arrested for DWR and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Both female passengers were also arrested. One female, Lizabeth Nuzzo, was arrested for false info to police and a felony warrant out of Newton County for Probation Violation. The other female, RaeAnn Cully, was arrested for a felony Warrant out of Jasper County for Child Abuse. All subjects were transported to Newton County Jail.

On 3/7/19, Officer Fort initiated a traffic stop on an equipment violation. The driver was arrested for DWR and was transported to Newton County Jail.








On 3/3/19, Officer Fort received a call about a C&I driver. Officer Fort located the vehicle and witnessed multiple moving violations. Officer Fort initiated a traffic stop and the driver was arrested for DWS.

On 3/2/19, Officer Housley initiated a traffic stop for an equipment violation. The driver, Jeremy Wilson, had a warrant out of Cole County for Non-Support. Wilson was arrested and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 3/1/19, Officer Housley initiated a traffic stop on an equipment violation. The driver was arrested for DWR and the passenger was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. Both subjects were transported to Newton County Jail.
