Five people, including two Sarcoxie residents, injured in three-vehicle pileup on 160

Five people were injured in a three-vehicle accident 12:31 p.m. today on U. S. 160, three miles north of Reeds Spring.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Jeffrey J. Barrickman, 37, Crane, struck the rear of a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Melinda F. Dinger, 18, Galena, forcing the Dinger vehicle into the path of a 2016 Kia Soul driven by Andrew Barchak, 30, Sarcoxie. The Barchak vehicle overturned after the collision.








Barchak and a passenger in the Dinger vehicle, Nathan Dinger, 15, Galena, were treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Hospital, Springfield.

Three passengers in the Barchak vehicle, Bethany Godfrey, 31, Springfield, James Konz, 38, Springfield, and Leann Murphy 28, Sarcoxie, were treated for minor injuries at Mercy.
