Neosho School District is pleased to announce Trent Barratt as the new head principal of Neosho High School.
Mr. Barratt comes to us from Anderson Elementary in the McDonald County School District. He served as principal in 2018-2019 and assistant principal from 2016-2018. Prior to that he taught 10th grade world history and physical education for grades 9-12 for a combined six years at McDonald County High School.
Mr. Barratt earned his specialist degree in administration from William Woods University in 2018, his master’s in educational leadership from Arkansas State University in 2014, and graduated from Missouri Southern State University with his bachelor of science in secondary education in 2009.
Superintendent Dr. Jim Cummins is looking forward to Mr. Barratt’s addition to the team. “We are excited to have a former Wildcat return to continue the good work at the high school. Mr. Barratt was chosen from a field of excellent candidates. I am confident his energy and vision for where the high school can go will be evident as he begins building relationships with students, staff and the community.”
Mr. Barrett will begin his duties in July and will be taking over for current principal Darren Cook. Mr. Cook is retiring at the end of this year after 27 years with Neosho School District.
