On 03-29-2019 Deputy William Weiser made contact with an individual at the intersection of Church and 160 Highway in Golden City.
During the contact, the deputy asked for consent to search the subject and during the search a metal tin was discovered that contained a substance believed to be methamphetamine.
The subject Carl Ruth Sr age, 41, of Golden City was arrested and transported back to the Sheriff's Office.
A probable cause statement was sent to the Barton County Prosecutor Mike Smalley for the criminal charge of distribution of a controlled substance. A warrant was issued on the same day for the criminal charge with a bond amount of $5,000 cash or surety.
