"Relics of the Titanic" exhibit opens March 26 at Joplin Museum

“Relics of the Titanic” is a special exhibit opening on March 26 at the Joplin History and Mineral Museum. The exhibit will run through April 20, with a special reception being held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 30.

The world's interest in the fascinating history of Titanic has endured for more than 100 years. April 15, 2019 marks the 107th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic ship. Although it has been over a century since the infamous luxury liner sank in the Atlantic Ocean, there continues to be a thirst for information regarding Titanic facts, myths, and legends. This exhibit is from the collection of Allen Shirley.








Admission to view the exhibit is $3 per person. Hour of the museum are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday. It is closed on Sunday and Monday.
