Barton County Sheriff: Have you seen this escapee, last seen in his underwear at Freeman Hospital

On April 26th 2019 the Barton County Sheriff’s Office transported an inmate to Freeman Hospital to receive medical treatment. 

The 26 year of age subject received a furlough from the jail by the Barton County Court to receive medical treatment and he was supposed to be returned back to the Barton County Jail as soon as the medical treatment was completed. 

He was transported to Freeman Hospital to be placed on a 96-hour hold for a mental medical examination. 

The Sheriff’s Office left the individual at the hospital to receive the treatment and a short while afterwards the male subject ran out of Freeman Hospital wearing nothing but his underwear. 

The Barton County Sheriffs Office is asking for the community's assistance in locating 26 year of age Matthew F. Clements of Lamar. 

Clements was being held at the Barton County Jail on a possession of a controlled substance charge, and Burglary. If you happen to see this subject your asked to call your local Law Enforcement.
