Four injured after school bus run off 96 in Carthage after collision

Four people were injured in a two-vehicle accident 1:55 p.m. Monday on MO 96 in Carthage.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2006 International truck driven by David A. Gerber, 43, Joplin, struck a 2012 Bluebird school bus driven by Jo A. Rickman, 56, Stockton, in the rear, forcing it off the roadway and over a steep embankment.

Four passengers in the school bus, Lisa A. Kenney, 52, Morgan R. Kennon, 15, Jenna M. Rickman, 16, and Daniel E. Roberts, 43, Stockton, were treated for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
