Joplin Police Department makes four drug arrests, responds to 272 calls during 24-hour period

Our officers make drug arrests every day, but the community is always curious about what we are doing to combat drug related crime in our community. Here are the drug arrests we made since Wednesday morning:

-8:20am 18th and Missouri, male arrested with 3 baggies of meth

-11:52pm Main and Murphy, 2 people arrested for meth and marijuana. Passenger lied about her identity and was arrested for Felony Theft warrants out of Arkansas, Misd Theft Warrants out of Carthage and Joplin

-12:47am, 36th and Range Line, 2 people arrested for 4 warrants and possession of meth

-2:32am, 4th and Range Line, Officer stopped a stolen car from Kansas. Male arrested for the car and was in possession of Heroin

These are just a few of 297 calls we have handled between Wednesday morning at 8 am. and Thursday morning.
