Thursday was a tremendous day for the Joplin Fire Department as we welcomed seven new firefighters into our family after completing nearly 500 hours of training.
We were honored and appreciative to have the Missouri Division of Fire Safety State Fire Marshal Tim Bean in attendance and serve as our keynote speaker for the graduation ceremony.
Please welcome Firefighters Spencer Dobbs, Jeffrey Gallant, Jacob Guernsey, Kevin Miller, Justin Sellers, Koltyn Theilen, and Jason Williams as they begin their career serving the citizens of Joplin.
In addition to the ceremony for our new firefighters, we also recognized two promotions to the rank of Driver/Engineer for Joe Nielson and Stephen Miller and a promotion to Captain for Scott Hubler.
