Two people were injured in a three-vehicle accident 8:07 p.m. Tuesday on MO 171, 1 1/2 miles north of Carl Junction.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2015 Toyota Sienna driven by Geoffery S. Myers, 31, Rogersville, failed to yield to a 2016 Hyundai Sonata driven by Kate A. Anderson, 24, Asbury, with he Anderson vehicle striking the rear of the Myers vehicle.
The Anderson vehicle then crossed the center lane and struck a 2016 Buick Regal driven by Michael S. Corbit, 44, Summers, Arkansas head on.
Corbit and a passenger in his vehicle, Jada C. Corbit, 19, Summers, were taken to Mercy Hospital, Joplin, to be treated for serious injuries.
