Seneca Police Department keeps busy with multiple arrests

On 4/4/19, Officer Housley initiated a traffic stop for several moving violations. The vehicle had three occupants. Officer Housley ran all the subjects and found out that all three had warrants.

The driver, Gayla Burgess, had a warrant out of Marionville, Missouri for larceny and was charged with multiple other charges. 

The front seat passenger, Kristin Rickman had five warrants out of Lawrence County for: Property Damage, Dangerous Drugs, Cruelty Towards a Child, Public Peace Disturbance, and Vehicle Theft. 

The backseat passenger, Justin Burgess also had a warrant out of Lawrence County for: FTA No Seatbelt. All three passengers were transported to Newton County Jail.

On 4/4/19, Officer Housley initiated a traffic stop for an equipment violation. The driver was arrested for DWS (Driving While Suspended) and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 4/3/19, Officer Fort initiated a traffic stop for an equipment violation. The vehicle was occupied by four individuals. One of the passengers, Victoria Martinez, was arrested on three warrants out of Webb City for: No Insurance and Peace Disturbance (x2). Martinez was transported to Newton County Jail.

On 3/29/19, Officer Thiel initiated a traffic stop for an equipment violation. Officer Thiel got consent to search the vehicle. 

During the search Officer Thiel found two syringes, Methamphetamine and a stolen check. After the search, the passenger was arrested for: Forgery, Possession of Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On 3/29/19, Officer Thiel initiated a traffic stop for moving and equipment violations. The driver consented to a vehicle search. After the search, the driver was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The driver was transported to Newton County Jail.

On 3/28/19, Officer Housley initiated a traffic stop for a moving violation. The driver, Dustin McDaniel, had three warrants out of Seneca for: Defective Equipment, Fail to Register Motor Vehicle, and Peace Disturbance. McDaniel was arrested and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 3/27/19, Sargent Wilson responded to a residence in reference to a warrant service on Joseph Whitehead. Whitehead had a warrant out of Newton County for: Possession of Marijuana. Whitehead was arrested and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 3/27/19, Chief Altic, responded to a call of two females acting suspiciously behind a local business. One of the females, Megan Ramsey, had two warrants for her arrest out of Joplin for: DWR and Larceny. Ramsey also had a warrant out of Republic for: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Ramsey was transported to the Joplin City Jail.

On 3/23/19, Officer Kirby initiated a traffic stop for an equipment violation. The driver was cited for DWS, No insurance, and expired plates. The driver was arrested and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 3/22/19, Officer Thiel made contact with two male subjects at 43 and Thurman. One of the male subjects, Devin Livermore, fled. Officer Thiel chased Livermore and eventually apprehended the suspect a few blocks from the initial contact. Livermore had a felony warrant out of Jasper County for: Possession of Controlled Substance. Livermore was arrested and transported to Newton County Jail.
