A Joplin man was injured in a one-vehicle accident 7:15 a.m. today on MO 171, a half mile north of Carthage.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a Ford F-350 driven by Jeffrey J. Mails, 63, Joplin, had a flat tire, traveled off the left side of the road through the median crossing the northbound lanes and striking a rock wall.
A passenger, Thomas M. Watkins, 36, Joplin, was treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
