A Carthage man was charged with driving while intoxicated following a scooter accident 9:11 p.m. Monday at Airport Drive and Laura Street in Carthage.
According to the Highway Patrol report, Ryan D. McInerney, 35, Carthage, laid a 2016 Taotao 49 CC scooter on its side and scraped his leg.
McInerney was treated at Mercy McCune-Brooks Hospital, Carthage.
