Four Neosho residents injured in collision near Joplin

Four people were injured in a two-vehicle collision 10:40 p.m. Thursday on Business Loop 49, near the Joplin city limits.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2001 Ford Escape driven by Alexander M. Ball, 18, Joplin, struck a 2010 Nissan Versa driven by Mirella J. Ortega, 34, Neosho, in the rear.

Ortega and three passengers, Esmeralda Ortega, 19, Jasmin Ortega, 17, and a 13-year-old boy were treated for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
