(From the Jasper Police Department)On Monday, April 5th, 2021 at 1302 hours, a Jasper officer made contact with subjects occupying a brown Chevrolet Blazer South 3rd Street near Divine. Contact was made in reference to suspicious vehicle/persons check.
Contact was made with the driver of the vehicle, Mac Breshears (Lamar), the front passenger Brandon Rice (Lamar) and back passenger, Melissa Casey (Lamar).
After a search was conducted by the officer, a plastic baggy with a white crystal substance (methamphetamine) was found in Brandon Rice’s pant pocket.
Mac Breshears was arrested for driving while revoked, Brandon Rice was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and Melissa was issued a citation for trespassing and released.
Note: All persons are presumed innocent until found guilty in the court of law.
