Two Carthage men were injured in a two-car accident 10:10 a.m. today on County Road 20, eight miles east of Avilla.
According to the Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when a 2012 KIa Sole driven by Glen A. Grizzel, 67, Carthage, failed to stop at a stop sign and was hit by a 2010 Mercury Milan driven by Mary L. Eicher, 24, Sarcoxie.
Grizzel suffered moderate injuries and a passenger in his car, Gary L. Buck, 68, Carthage, suffered minor injuries. Both were taken to Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
