"Newsmakers" to feature historian, MSSU Board of Governors

An interview with the guest speaker at the annual Jeans Lecture and a broadcast of the upcoming Board of Governors meeting will be featured on KGCS.
The upcoming edition of the “Newsmakers” interview program will feature author and historian Frederick Hoxie, who will offer perspectives on American Indian history.
Hoxie discusses his book, “This Indian Country: American Indian Activists and the Place They Made.” He was the guest speaker during April’s 20th annual Jeans Lecture in History at Missouri Southern State University.
Airdates and times for “Newsmakers” include:
Monday, June 2 – 5:30 p.m.
Tuesday, June 3 – 5:30 and 9:30 p.m.
Wednesday, June 4 – 5:30 p.m.
The program will also air at 5:30 a.m. Saturday, June 7, on KOAM-TV.
The Board of Governors meeting set for 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 2, will also be featured on KGCS. A recording of the meeting will be aired at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 3.
KGCS programming may be seen over the air on digital channel 22 and on regional cable television systems.  The station operates as a service of the Department of Communication at Missouri Southern State University.
