The Joplin Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire at 408 W 14th Street, at 1:44 AM, Friday, 31 July, 2015.
Fire crews arrived on the scene at 1:49 AM to find a single story residential structure with flame and smoke showing. Crews attacked the fire from the rear of the house, knocking it down enough for an entry via the front door to put out the fire. Crews declared the fire under control at 2:20 AM and remained on scene until 4:20 AM.
No injuries were reported to either fire personnel or others in the area. Seven Joplin fire units and 19 Joplin Fire personnel responded as well as JPD and METS. Occupancy information is unavailable at the time of this report.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Fire Marshal.
