Tax Levy for 2015-2016

Mr. Wood said the purpose of this hearing is to set the tax levy rate for Crowder College for the coming year in a public hearing allowing citizens the opportunity to be heard. He said the proposed tax rate is set by the state and county, and it is the same as last year, 0.4297 cents per $100 assessed valuation, which is estimated to provide revenues of approximately $3.6M. Mr. Wood asked if any citizen present wished to be heard by the Board or if there are any comments. There being none, he called for a motion. A MOTION to approve the 0.4297 cent tax levy rate per $100 assessed valuation, the same as last year, was made by Mrs. Andris, seconded by Mr. Butler, and unanimously carried.

Mr. Wood declared the public tax levy hearing adjourned at approximately 10:07 a.m., and it was immediately followed by the regularly scheduled Board of Trustees meeting.
