(From Southern News Service)

Dr. Alan Marble, president of Missouri Southern State University, will discuss the start of the fall semester and changes on campus during his appearance on KXMS’ “Missouri Southern Live!”

The radio interview will air at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, on 88.7 FM.

During his conversation with host Jeff Skibbe, Marble will outline the funding and development of “the Quads” – the new residence hall complex that offer four-bedroom configurations in each of the 51 student apartments. Other additions to campus include the new fieldhouse north of Fred G. Hughes Stadium and a secure storm shelter. Marble will also touch on what KCUMB’s Joplin medical school will mean for Missouri Southern students, as well as plans to bring a dental school to campus.

Marble and Skibbe will also highlight some new faces in the ranks of employees at Southern as well as the contributions of Dr. Pat Lipira, the former vice president for academic affairs who retired following the spring semester.
