A Diamond man was struck by a hit-and-run driver as he was walking along Elm Road, two miles south of Joplin 3 a.m. today.
According to the Highway Patrol report, Timothy J. Meeker, 22, Diamond, was hit by the vehicle, which then fled the scene.
Meeker was treated for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
