The Alliance of Southwest Missouri is partnering with Hometown Pediatrics, located at 2302 E. 32nd Street in Joplin, MO on Thursday, December 3, 2015 from 9:00-11:30 a.m. for The Alliance’s December car seat check.
Safe Kids certified car seat technicians will gladly assist you and your family in properly installing your child’s car seat. Car seats are also available to obtain for a suggested $10 donation. Aaron’s is a proud sponsor and happy to host this event.
Last year alone, The Alliance checked over 400 car seats and distributed over 300 car seats to families in need. The Alliance has been hosting car seat events since 1997. The Alliance hosts these monthly events in hopes that parents and guardians will become more knowledgeable about proper car seat installation.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, when used and installed correctly, child safety seats effectively reduce the risk of death by 71% for infants (under age one) and by 54% for toddlers (ages one to three) and children in booster seats (ages four to eight).
The Alliance is dedicated in making the four-states a safer, healthier community. This event could not be possible without the partnership of Hometown Pediatrics, local law enforcement, and community volunteers.
