Neosho, MO - Thanks to a generous donation by the James family, current and incoming Crowder agriculture students have the opportunity to apply for new scholarships to further their college education.
“The Crowder Ag Division is very fortunate to have such a great supporter in the future of the ag industry,” emphasized Jorge Zapata, Agriculture Division Chair, “we look forward to being able to help students complete their college goals.”
In order to apply for the scholarships, students need to log onto the Crowder College Foundation scholarship application at
Students will need to select James Agriculture Scholarship on the application and submit it by June 1st for priority submission.
12 $1000 L- EARN-ER scholarships per semester
- 2.5 minimum GPA to apply and to renew
- Completed application and essay
- 2 Reference letters
- Will work in the Ag Division 8 hours a week for 12 weeks
- Each semester scholarship is dependent on an 8+ rating on evaluation
4 Ag LEADER Scholarship - $500 per semester
-Only FFA or 4-H Chapter Officers may apply
- Ag Education majors get priority
- Completed application and essay
- Based on leadership at the local, state and national level
-3.0 to apply and maintain
-must become an officer in Aggie Club, Vet Tech Club, State PAS or National PAS to maintain after first semester
3 Legacy Scholarships - $500 per semester
- Only eligible if a parent attended Crowder
- 3.0 to apply and maintain
- Complete application and essay
- Will assist with recruitment by attending 10 recruitment events per year.
