Trenton man airlifted to Truman Medical Center after collision with Lamar tractor-trailer driver

A Trenton man was injured in a two-vehicle accident 6:03 p.m. Tuesday on MO 6, one mile east of Trenton in Grundy County.

According to the Highway Patrol report, Jackie L. Peacock, 61, Lamar, driving a 2016 Peterbilt, had slowed to make a right turn into a Grundy County MODOT parking lot and was struck from behind by a 2011 GMC 1500 pickup driven by Jordin M. Curtis, 24, Trenton. The impact pushed both vehicles into the parking lot.

Grundy County Ambulance District personnel and firefighters had to extricate Curtis from his vehicle. He was taken by ambulance to Wright Memorial Hospital, the airlifted to Truman Medical Center, Independence, to be treated for serious injuries.
