The MSSU Choral Society, will begin its summer rehearsals Monday, June 4, 7-9 p.m. in room 208 of the Music Building at MSSU. The well-known area-wide community mixed choir is non-auditioned for anyone college age and older and all singers are welcome. Registration forms will be available at the first two rehearsals only. The class fee is $30 for the summer session.
The choir will be preparing for its annual patriotic concert to be held July 29. The major work to be performed is a 45-minute patriotic spectacular, “I Believe in America.” Joining the chorus will be a member of “Bugles Across America.
The ensemble is under the direction of Dr. Al Carnine, who founded the Choral Society in 1980 and has been its sole conductor and artistic director.
