Scheduling changes will impact resurfacing projects on 43, 66 and TT in Joplin

Joplin – The contractor has requested schedule changes impacting resurfacing projects on Missouri Route 43 (Main Street), Missouri Route 66 (7th Street) and Jasper County Route TT (Newman Road) in Joplin, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

Here are the affected routes and the expected schedule:
Monday-Friday, June 4-8 – Missouri Route 43 along a one-mile stretch between Jasper County Route FF (32nd Street) and I-44. The contractor will begin removing the old surface at 3 p.m., Monday, June 4 and begin paving in the evening between the hours of 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. Drivers can expect one-lane traffic, flaggers and occasional traffic delays.
Monday-Wednesday, June 11-13 – Jasper County Route TT (Newman Road) along a one-mile stretch between Range Line Road and Duquesne Road. The contractor will work in the evening between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. Drivers can expect traffic shifts, flaggers and occasional traffic delays.
TBA (expected late summer) – Missouri Route 66 (7th Street) along a nearly three-mile stretch between Range Line Road and Missouri Route 249. Drivers can expect one-lane traffic, traffic delays and occasional flaggers. In addition to the new driving surface, Route 66 will also get new guardrail.

All lanes of traffic will be open during daytime hours.

Signs and message boards will alert drivers to the work zones.

Weather and/or scheduling delays will alter the work schedule.
