A Carthage teen was airlifted to Mercy Hospital, Springfield, with serious injuries after being run over by a dump truck 10:45 a.m. today in a private driveway west of MO 39, four miles south of Shell Knob.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a Kenworth dump truck driven by Todd A. Chitwood, 37, Rockaway Beach, backing westbound collided with Cash E. Young, 17, Carthage, and then a Neal 8 to 14 foot paving machine, with the Young falling underneath the dump truck.
So tragic!
