Man who thought JPD officer was "up to no good" arrested with five grams of meth

(From the Joplin Police Department)

Incident Spotlight

This morning at 12:55 a.m. one of our officers was on foot in the alley at 15th and Moffet due to recent issues in the area.

He contacted a male on a bicycle in the alley who had said he was on the porch nearby and saw the officer walking and thought he was “up to no good.” It was discovered the male had a warrant for driving while revoked. He was arrested and found to have a syringe, baggies and 5 grams of meth. The male was arrested for felony drug charges.
