The Joplin Area Transportation Study Organization (JATSO) will be voting at their upcoming meeting on Thursday, June 21 to approve the final Bicycle and Pedestrian Transportation Plan. The meeting will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the conference room on fifth floor of City Hall.
Two public meetings were held to discuss the Plan Update on August 24, 2017 and November 16, 2017. The draft plan is now in its final stage. The final plan was presented to the JATSO Policy Board on March 13, 2018. Final comments were given from Policy Board members and a few minor changes were made since that time
This public notice, public involvement activities, and time established for public review and comments on the TIP will satisfy the FTA Section 5307 Program of Projects requirements for Metro Area Public Transit System (MAPS).
