Storyteller Mike Anderson presentation set for Saturday at Joplin Public Library

(From the Joplin Public Library)

As part of our Libraries Rock! Summer Reading series, Joplin Public Library will host multitalented artist Mike Anderson at 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 16. Mike will present, “Songs, Stories, and a Boingy Boingy Thing and a Clackity Clack Thing and a Noseflute!”

Mike plays guitar, banjo, jaw harp, noseflute, bones, and more. Best known as an outstanding mountain dulcimer player - one of the very best in the entire Midwest - Mike is also an author and elementary school teacher. Mike has honed his skills as a storyteller and is one of the most fabulous yarn-spinners and worst pun-tellers anywhere.

The combination of music, storytelling, humor, and educational background has made Anderson a highly sought after performer and speaker.

Come join us for some music and fun! This program is recommended for all ages.
